REGISTRATION for Pacific NW Quarterly Meeting

MEALS AND LODGING AT LAZY F CAMP

The Lazy F Methodist Camp and Retreat Center is set in a small valley outside Ellensburg with spacious grounds, a swift creek and nearby hiking trails. All meals include a vegetarian option. (Please note vegetarian and special dietary requests on the registration form ). Red meat is used in the regular menu. Cabins and dormitory buildings are heated and have shared bathroom facilities. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings. There are tent sites and RV sites without hook-ups. A few sites have electric power available. Campers must bring their own camping gear.

WHAT TO BRING

Potluck dinner for Friday night, unless the registration packet advises otherwise. Warm clothes, bedding with extra blankets, flashlights, towels, toiletries, ear plugs (optional), musical instruments, song books, games, books to read.

INFANTS AND TODDLERS

Loving care and snacks will be provided for infants and toddlers during program times. At other times, parents are responsible for their children. Please bring familiar toys, diapers, strollers, snugglies, etc. for your little one. Please tag all clothes and other belongings with your child's name.

CHILDRENS PROGRAM

Age-appropriate activities and snacks will be provided for groups of younger and older school-age children during program times. At other times, parents are responsible for their children.

CENTRAL FRIENDS

Middle school-aged Friends will gather with their program leaders in the Skyline central lounge.

JUNIOR FRIENDS

High school-aged Friends will meet and sleep in the Barn with adult chaperones. Everyone must bring his or her own sleeping bag, air mattress or foam pad, an extra blanket, more warm clothes than you think you'll need, and all the usual toiletries, etc. Junior Friends who plan to attend without a parent must arrange for an adult sponsor at Quarterly Meeting. Please have your parent or guardian complete a sponsorship form and submit it with your sponsor's registration.

Several years ago, Junior Friends adopted a code of conduct which, after review and revision as needed, is ratified at each Quarterly Meeting. The current code requests that Junior Friends respect and participate in the group as a whole. In addition, Junior Friends have agreed on the following specifics:

Violations of the Code of Conduct are dealt with by the Concerns Committee.

INTEREST GROUPS

Gather with other interested folk for informal discussion on a wide variety of topics. Or post a sign-up sheet in the dining hall to initiate your own group. If you indicate on the registration form that you want to be an interest group leader (and also specify the topic), (a)this will count as your volunteer work contribution, and (b)the host meeting will prepare a sign-up sheet for you.

CHALLENGE COURSE

The course consists of various activities designed to facilitate individual and group development. Low elements (ropes) and group initiatives focus on risk- taking, group problem solving, trust building, communication, and leadership activities. The high elements allow individuals to experience personal challenges as a result of stepping outside of their "comfort zones". It also allows for some "plain ol' fun"! All who want to participate must sign up in advance, and:
